Wilson Farm Market located at 1720 E 256th Street, Arcadia, IN 46030 is being forced to vacate the family business by winter of 2024. This imposition by the Indiana Department of transportation impacts not only the Wilson's family business, but their employees, local schools, and community members.

The INDOT's proposed closing off of access at 256th and US 31 will limit direct access to Hamilton Heights Schools as well as Jackson and Adams Townships. Closing access will increase emergency response times to accidents on US 31, as well as neighboring departments assisting in other areas. Response times to large emergency incidents at Hamilton Heights schools will impact emergency responders and victims.  Increased response times may lead to more damage, injuries, or loss of life.  We need access at 256th and US31 to remain open.

Wilson Farm Market opened in 1968 and is currently operated by Scott and Amanda Wilson. The Wilson's story is not unique. It's a time old tale of government overreach and that's exactly why we must share this story and let our voices be heard that eminent domain laws need to be improved.
